Have you ever wanted to learn about wine, but don't know where to start? We can totally relate, as wine can be a seemingly intimidating subject - but it doesn't have to be! 
 
That's why we developed "Flight School" -  a set of comprehensive introductory courses  beginning with wine 101, and following with a series of more in depth workshops that will focus on specific regions, styles + entertaining tips!  
 
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about wine in a casual and fun environment in the company of great friends without any pressure or snobbery!  
 
Your instructors - owner of Little Birdie Wine Nest & certified sommelier Robin Keenan, and charismatic wine industry professional Sean Cathcart of Skurnik Wines will share their experience to help you gain more in-depth knowledge of all aspects of wine through each 2 hour educational, interactive workshop which includes curated study materials alongside a 4 wine tasting expressive of the region or topic we are focusing on.
 
Throughout these courses, you will come to understand why different wines taste the way they do, why some are more regarded and higher priced than others, and various tricks of the trade for building your palate and your cellar as you learn about how the major grape varieties, wine regions and their "terroir" and unique winemaking processes ultimately shape each wine’s character.
 
Maybe most importantly, you will be given the tools to become a better wine taster, get to know your own palate, and learn how to pair wine with food effortlessly!
 
We recommend starting with "Wine 101" (which will be offered multiple times throughout the year as dates fill up) to give you a foundational basis to understand terms & topics that will come up in future workshops, but you are also welcome to simply join in to specific seminars that interest you without completing our introductory course.  All of the courses are designed for beginner's so feel free to drop in where topics interest you!
 
In addition to 10% off any 6 bottle purchases, we will be offering a special incentive to all flock members in attendance that if they "build a box" (of 12 wines) following class, they will receive 1 free ticket to the following month's seminar.  (*6 of the wines must come from the attended seminar's tasting selections to qualify.)
